Argiano Brunello di Montalcino

Argiano was founded in 1580 and is one of the oldest winemaking estates in Montalcino with a rich history defined by 500 years of grape growing and winemaking. Argiano was one of the first producers of Brunello di Montalcino and combines centuries of experience, precise vineyard management and meticulous practices in the cellar to yield wines that deftly marry concentration and finesse. The wines of Argiano are recognized by critics around the world, celebrated for their great elegance and style that is both accessible and balanced for long aging


About the Wine: The 2013 Brunello di Montalcino has aromas of orange peel, dark berry with plum and cherry notes and mushrooms characteristics. Full body, juicy and fruity with firm tannins and a fresh finish. Argiano gives great attention to encouraging beneficial organisms and natural predators in their vineyards and use no synthetic chemicals. Their goal is to unite the soils’ microbiology, microclimates, clones and vineyard conditions to bring out the best of Sangiovese each vintage. 2013 was a balanced vintage, a lot of rain at the beginning of the year and low temperatures. Hot summer with good reserve of water.
